Travel Notes of Kunming Dali

Time never stops in a hurry, and so do the people and scenery around us. Over the years, we have visited many cities with the company, and we have also witnessed countless unforgettable times. The trip to Dali in Kunming ended in our day and night expectations, laughter and each other's company, and later endless memories. People can't help but sigh that so much beauty has been carried in just eight days.

Looking at Dianchi Lake from the cable car in Xishan Mountain, I saw the sparkling water on the lake meet somewhere. A touch of tender green abruptly tried to blend into the wider emerald green, which looked like a piece of Hetian jade inlaid in the center of the city. The dark clouds blocked the scorching sun for us, leaving only a gust of breeze blowing through our hair. Because we have lived near Xi'an, the ancient capital of the thirteen dynasties, we have little understanding of ethnic minority culture. Visiting Yunnan ethnic villages and watching the enthusiastic dancing of Dai girls and boys gave us the opportunity to fully appreciate the local customs and culture. What impressed me the most was an old man on the stage, wearing dozens of ethnic minority musical instruments, all of which I had never known before. Some sounds like a long flute, clear, ethereal, distant, some cheerful, festive, clear rhythm, and others like a saxophone, loud and deep.

When you come to Yunnan, you must come to see the stones. Green moss grows evenly on the surface of the rock outside Jiuxiang Karst Cave, and what's even more amazing is that from a distance, I saw a long vine hanging from the slippery rock wall, swaying alone in the breeze. The rocks in the karst cave look even more bizarre under the colorful neon lights. Some slender stalactites grow from the top and bottom sides of the cave and seem to be closing soon. Others look like inverted vases, but upon closer inspection, the lines on them seem to show the traces of water flowing on them day after day. There are also rocks that look like fairy peaches, so the English sentence "The Peach of Immortality," is projected on it. This translation is really hilarious, as if it can embody the magical effect of immortality. In the afternoon we came to the stone forest. The so-called stone forest is a forest formed by towering rocks. I looked up and saw a huge rock hanging overhead, sandwiched between two stone mountains, and it seemed to be about to fall. I heard from the tour guide sister in front of me that this is a rock that was broken by an earthquake several years ago. If it can pass through below, it will prove that it will be safe for the rest of my life. There is also a trunking stone that is quite impressive. On a huge rock mountain, there is a petite rock that looks like a playful baby elephant and its curved trunk. After seeing these bizarre natural scenery, I am even more amazed by the power of nature and its masterpieces.

Some people say that three days is enough to fall in love with a city, and that's how I feel about Dali. Dali is an extremely romantic city, because the seas and mountains in the "eachother mountain alliance" are in Dali, one is Erhai Lake, and the other is Cangshan. At the same time, Xiaguan Feng, Shangguan Hua, Cangshan Snow, Erhai Moon, so Dali has written the wind and snow in the world. On the afternoon of arriving in Dali, we climbed over a hill at dusk to the lake pavilion in Erhai Park. I was by the blue Erhai Lake, blowing a cool sea breeze, but Erhai Lake is not a sea, but drifted through my endless thoughts. Looking out from a distance, the white clouds wrap around the ink-colored Cangshan, and a ray of afterglow from the setting sun flickers from the clouds, quietly dipping a corner of the white clouds.

Afterwards, we went to Nanzhao Style Island, an isolated island with various exotic flowers and plants, as well as the legendary Moon Palace and Sun Palace, which was once the poetic residence of peacock dancer Yang Liping. In addition, we also went to many ancient towns on the edge of Erhai Lake, Dali Ancient Town, Shuanglang Ancient Town, Xizhou Ancient Town, all of which are the rhythm of shopping and shopping all the way. My favorite is still the tie-dye process of the Bai people. The white fabric is smudged with an elegant blue, and the white dress is matched with a tie-dyed shawl. There is no more pleasing and elegant dress than this.

However, the most memorable part of this trip was Panxi's Bay. We walked barefoot to the edge of Erhai Lake. The cool lake water overflowed our ankles, and the wind gently raised the hemlines of our skirts, ruffling our hair, but it was difficult to suppress our happy mood. Looking at the white clouds from a distance, the sky was blue without a trace of impurities, and the light blue lake water and the dark blue Cangshan Mountain. It was hard not to make people happy with such a wide field of vision and pure blue pictures. Later, each of us rented a bicycle and rode around S Bay. Listening to the music and watching the changing scenery in front of us, it was very intoxicating. I was tired of riding and sat in front of a cafe, listening to a teenager singing soulful old songs with the sound of the electronic piano. I fantasized about whether I would have the opportunity to visit Cangshan Erhai with my sweetheart in this romantic city in the near future.

On the plane back, I kept recalling the details of our trip and every unforgettable moment in my mind, and couldn't help but sigh that the good times were always in a hurry. In just a few days, I had fallen in love with this city and couldn't bear to leave. Although the short trip is over, aren't we always on the road and about to pass by more scenery? I silently wish in my heart, Dali, we will definitely meet again!
