    In organic synthesis, the choice of anode material is very difficult, because the electrode may be dissolved and corroded when the anode is passivated. The active electrode oxidizes organics by producing more expensive metal oxides. The active electrode can be in a higher oxidation state, which depends on the selective oxidation. Advantages: less need for chemical raw materials, energy saving (can operate at room temperature and pressure) without environmental pollution.
